Wall illusion
“Wall illusion” Since I watched BMX bandits in early 90’s I immediately knew what I want to do. Ride a bike. I took my toy bike and went strait to the bathroom to play. Any other kid would saw the lavabo in there and just wash his hands or teeth, but I saw the best polygon for playing with my toy bike. While I was playing there, jumping, doing tricks in the lavabo with my toy bike, I was imagining that I would love to do that one day. That day came after almost 20 years. I was jumping and riding all over the world but this time It wasn’t my toy bike, It was my Norco bike, real bike. I was riding on dirt, skateparks, in woods and even in concrete skatepark bowls that reminded me on my lavabo. That was the moment when I got the idea of creating the wall illusion (combining three artist: graffiti artist, photographer and athlete(me)) that will bring me back to the early days when I was wishing to be where I was today. I took my phone and called my great friend, great artist “Lonac” to whom I presented the idea and he was in. Next one was photographer and we were on it. We found the best place possible for realization and it was in the harbor town Rijeka in Croatia in old paper factory Hartera. We needed wall that will be around 20 meters x 5 meters high and we found it. After we built the ramp and painted the illusion that took us 30 hours, we got the best 3D illusion possible, I took my bike, jumped on the lavabo/wall and I went back in time. I did it.
